The 3 most outstanding Pinot Noir barrels from the 2019 vintage were selected and left to spend an extra 6 months in oak and blended together. We sent it to Winestate and it received an extremely good review (5 stars). This wine is complex, concentrated and will just keep getting better and better.

We are ultra-fastidious in our organic Pinot Noir vineyard to ensure the fruit has intense concentration of flavour. This involves much careful hand work to moderate crop levels and expose the fruit to the sun.

Moderately dark ruby, lighter on the rim. The nose is lifted and alluring with plum and dark cherry aromas melded with violet, dark herbs and earth. Medium-full bodied, aromas of dark cherry, cherry plum and black raspberry, unfolding violet, thyme, sage, liquorice, nutmeg and cinnamon, and earthy aromas round up a savoury closing. The wine is concentrated with great balance acidity, bringing liveliness; silky, fine-grained tannins adorn the structure and savoury elements. This Pinot Noir is savoury with dark fruit, spice and floral details, fine-grained tannin structure and a long, balanced finish. Match with duck and lamb over the next 8+ years. Handpicked, fermented with indigenous yeast to 13.5% alc, aged in French oak for 12 months. BioGro organic certified.
