Reserve Iliad Chardonnay 2023 750ml

Grown in the Kawitiri Vineyard in Hexton, and is part of Gisborne's Golden Triangle. The juice once gently pressed is fermented in 30% new French oak and aged for one year sur lee with stirring.

Wild ferment and 100% malolactic, the wine speaks of its terroir, this is Gisborne Chardonnay at its finest.

The 2022 vintage was favourable in Gisborne and the dry farmed Mendoza fruit was hand harvested  in top condition. The old vines produce fruit which is remarkably consistent from one vintage to the next.

This 2022 vintage of the Iliad Chardonnay is true to form. Richly fragrant, youthful and creamy, with a tight array of intense grapefruit, peach and fig flavours, it shows lovely delicacy and depth.
