Tasting Note: This 2021 ‘Highland’ Merlot is a stunner. Generous in black plums, dried herbs and spice, cigar box and silky tannins. This wine reflects the quality grapes and French oak barrels used in the winemaking. Refined and harmoniously balanced, the 2021 ‘Highland’ Merlot will age gracefully for many years. It is only the eighth ‘Platinum’ label since 1989. The ‘Highland’ label is reserved for Merlot dominant wines of excellence. This label is even more special as it features the Robertson tartan. Cellaring: This vintage will age gracefully for 8-10 years. Food Pairing: Ideal with a lamb, veal or wild mushroom pasta with a red wine-sauce.
