Syrah is Hawke’s Bay’s rising star. Predominantly from the Bridge Pa Triangle winegrowing region, this is a vibrant wine with medium body and an impression of sweet fruit and a long, elegant finish.
Red and black berry fruit and dark plummy richness are lifted by classic Hawke’s Bay Syrah floral perfume and exotic warm spice and pepper notes, with liquorice, cacao, vanilla, savoury undertones and an iron-like minerality bringing a serious depth to the wine.
Support from 33% new French oak with 16 months maturation in barrel built texture and developed harmony.
