Offering excellent fruit purity and perfume, the wine shows Black Doris plum, dark cherry, thyme, spicy oak and violet aromas, leading to a beautifully weighted palate that's succulent and persistent. Wonderfully composed and structured with a lengthy sturdy finish. At its best: 2022 to 2032. Sam Kim - Wine Orbit
Welcome to Tironui Estate e-cellar door
Located just below "Sugarloaf" in Taradale, overlooking New Zealand's oldest winery and with stunning views across to Napier and Cape Kidnappers, Tironui was founded in 2003 by Richard and Jennifer Brown.
Tironui (meaning great view) has its own micro climate and prides itself on producing malbec dominant red wines, from this small and highly boutique site of only 1.74 hectares.
Three grape varieties are to be found on the land, namely Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet and all of our grapes our sourced exclusively from this special site.
Our grapes are carefully handpicked and then are co-fermented. A typical red blend is aged in French Oak barrels with no more than 5000 bottles being produced in any one year.
We are priviliged to have award winning winemaker Chris Harrison from Beach House Wines, craft our wine for us and get immense satisfaction from seeing Tironui being enjoyed, whether here in New Zealand, or overseas.

Tironui Rosé 2021 – 5 Stars
Made with Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Franc – presented in a refreshing pink and raspberry shade of red with aromas and flavours of cranberry and red apple skin then peach and cherry. Flavours of roses and stone mineral complexities along with super fine fruit tannins and acidity add mouthfeel, texture and length. Balanced and well made, a refreshingly different style of rose well suited to food or on its own drinking. Best from day of purchase and through 2024. - Cameron Douglas
