Eaton
Forte Sauvignon Blanc 2021 750ml Limited Edition
Cuvee Forte - by Eaton
By design, this wine is unashamedly provocative. It is in no way subtle. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts, lees-stirring and some skin contact are accentuated by aging in Ermitage Cigar barrels. A wine not forthe faint-hearted and a wine that will certainly prompt a response. 1100 bottles made

A lovely purity, freshness and lift with a core varietal signature of citrus and dried herb, lemon and quince, peach and a fine lees with barrel spice complexity. Enticing and curious. Fantastic on the palate with flavours that reflect the bouquet and the volume turned up on citrus and lees spices. Excellent textures with acidity and fine barrel tannins painting the palate before citrus and stone fruit flavours layer on top. A complete wine with salivating acidity, saline qualities and a lengthy generous finish. Delicious! Best drinking from 2023 through 2029.

Eaton Sauvignon Blanc Cuvee Forte Marlborough 2021
Complex aromas of preserved lemons, spiced poached apples and quince. The palate is medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and focused acidity, giving notes of passion-fruit curd, grilled pineapple and flint. Nicely constructed and powerful from fermentation in French oak. Drink or hold.

Barrel-fermented sauvignon blanc that is not intended to be subtle. Richly textured wine with weight and intensity. A thread of assertive green apple acidity adds character and focus. Will respond positively to bottle age – 2021 – 2028
DECANTER – New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc Tasting Nov 2023

Waxy, pithy with rounded citrus and floral, sweet spice. Chunky concentration on the palate. Lots of rounded citrus and passionfruit. There is some complexity, and the oak brings a nice additional layer of flavour, giving way to a lightly toasted hazelnut finish.
