BROOKBY SPRINGS VINEYARD Pinot Noir 2021 750ml

A selection of clones 777, 115, 667 and Abel were hand-picked on the 27th of March.  The grapes were destemmed with 15% left as whole clusters.  After a two-day cold soak, a native fermentation began lasting 7-10 days, with 3 to 4 weeks total on skins.  The wine was gently pressed to selected French Oak barriques and puncheons, with 25% being new.  Natural spring malolactic fermentation occurred with an élevage of 16 months before being racked and prepared for bottling in November 2021.

Aromas of bramble, dark cherries, violets, and dried lavender on the nose.  A bright palate of primary fruit characters intertwined with spice, herbal, and savoury undertones.  Sinewy tannins frame the palate leading to a lengthy finish.
