"The longer we know our land, the more we feel the sense of place, understand it and our responsibility for it."
— Philippa Fourbet

Yannick and Philippa Fourbet are privileged to be the custodians of a 10-hectare Domaine nestled within the foothills of Central Otago’s Pisa Range. Farming sustainably and holistically is part of Philippa’s heritage, with an ethos to always give more than you take. This perfectly formed vineyard, land, and environment are constantly being improved, thereby reflected in the quality of the wine.

Each vintage, Domaine Rewa produces around 20,000 bottles of organic Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Riesling.

"Domaine Rewa – a small organic vineyard – is turning out some very smart wines."
— Dr Jamie Goode, The Wine Anorak

Behind these elegant wines lies an amorous collision of a Kiwi girl and a Frenchman, bound by their shared affinity for the land. Yannick, known as The French Potter, brings the same artisanal precision to his craft as he does to the vineyard. His handmade Anduze pots, shaped using the ancient ancestral rope-coil technique, mirror the philosophy of Domaine Rewa—where tradition and sustainability meet to create something timeless.

Here, wine and clay converge—both shaped by hand, guided by nature, and steeped in history.

Domaine Rewa 'The French Potter' Pinot Gris 2021
Deep straw and lightly golden hues lead to aromas of ripe and richly scented fruits, fresh and ripe pears, white peach and a lifted fragrant spice quality. A silk touch as the wine enters the palate, flavours of white fleshed stone fruits then some citrus peel, a lees quality and medium+ ish acid line accentuated by alcohol and dryness. An oxidative expression, overall a balanced well made wine with best drinnking from 2022 through 2024.
