When Bannockburn's wife and husband Kerry Stainton-Herbert and Doug Herbert first stood on their rabbit and briar infested plot overlooking the historic ruins of the once flourishing Stewart Town gold mining settlement, they knew the land would produce fabulous Pinot Noir.
The rest as they say is history, but of a different kind.
The first vintage was not produced until 2014 which gave both vintner and the winemakers time to understand the terroir of this small, but unique vineyard.
That year, the Bounder Pinot Noir was born.
Winemakers Grant Taylor and Jen Parr have taken grapes from a small boutique vineyard and created a very special wine for you to enjoy.
