Kennedy Point has a strong following for its organic Waiheke syrah, most famously the Reserve. Whakanewha (named after the island’s southern regional park) is the most affordable of their syrah and the elegant, sensitive treatment with a lighter touch actually makes it the most drinkable and charming too.

Intense notes of freshly cracked black pepper highlight the pure, fresh and crunchy mid-weight flavours of blueberry and boysenberry. Finely balanced, with an emerging ripe, savoury edge and dried herbs which taper to the gently chewy, sappy finish. This is elegant and very drinkable with an effortless flow.
