Welcome to Gladstone Vineyard

Gladstone Vineyard has an established reputation as a quality, boutique wine producer making award-winning wines of finesse and complexity with a primary focus on making New Zealand’s finest Pinot Noir!

The Gladstone district in the Wairarapa, New Zealand is a fast-growing wine area, as winemakers realise the potential of the quality soil and climate conditions that produce low-yielding, rich, concentrated grapes and show off the very best of the terroir. The result is our style of wine. Aromatic, fresh and true to varietal!

We believe that the most important part of winemaking occurs in the vineyard. Our grapes are managed with great care, ensuring the best possible fruit is brought to the winery at harvest, giving our winemaking team every opportunity to be creative whilst still striving to produce international, award-winning wines.

Reviews

Gladstone Vineyard Rosé 2019
Golden peach hues and very bright appearance lead to aromas and flavours of apple and apricot, saffron and peach, roses and a soft silty mineral core. Crisp and refreshing with a light saline note, balanced, well made and ready to drink from day of purchase and through end of summer 2022.

Gladstone Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2021
Gooseberry and fresh peach, quince and lime, apple and a leesy mineral complexity offer an enticing bouquet. Delicious on the palate with flavours that mirror the nose, plenty of contrasting acidity, passionfruit pulp and fine savoury herbaceousness. Salivating, fresh and ready to drink from late 2021 through 2025.

Excellent

Gladstone Vineyard Dakins Road Pinot Noir 2019
A captivating bouquet of Noir with aromas of dried roses and fresh cherry, moments of strawberry and cherry, it’s quite savoury too with a bracken and dried herb quality. On the palate - savoury and dry, a core of fruit and dried herb flavours, firm tannins and plenty of acidity. A wine that reflects it home and soils, is young and needs cellar time to integrate and harmonise, which it will - so best drinking from 2023 through 2028+.
