A winemaker simply parents Pinot noir through its childhood growth from grape to wine with a liberal outlook, offering simple guidance, trying to do no harm avoiding telling it what to do or what it should be. In the end it will be what it is. The place, the season, the vineyard and product of an upbringing.

100% Clone 5 Pinot Noir from Te Muna Road, Martinborough. Spontaneous whole bunch ferment with gentle foot plunging. Matured in well seasoned barrels with natural malolactic fermentation occurring in spring. Bottled without filtration and with minimal sulphur.
